Ellu Podi

What a tedious day I have had. Visited the Golu at Batu Caves Murugan Temple and returned pretty late. And today being a saturday, I prepared quick and easy Ellu Podi for Neivedhyam on Day 4 of Navratri 2011.

Ingredients
Sesame Seeds - 1 cup
Grated Jaggery - 1 cup

Method
Soak sesame seeds (black) for 15 minutes. Dry roast them till all the seeds crackle.
Grind grated jaggery and roasted sesame seeds together to a fine powder.
Garnish with nuts and neivedhyam is ready!!

Im sending this to Denny's and Krithi's Serve It - Festival Potluck and to Gayathri's Only Sweets and Desserts event, a brain child of Pari

Bon Appetit!!
