Chocolate Pongal

I am a chocoholic. I can literally live on just choco crepes and choco drinks for 3 full days(I havent tried more than this). This time when I was preparing sakkarai pongal one day for neivedhyam. I thought why dont people prepare choco pongal.  How would it taste with rice? Never knew if such a combination ever existed. Google as always, ever helpful and I found Champorado which is Filipino Chocolate Rice Porridge. Very similar to what I tried!!!

Ingredients
Raw Rice - 1 cup
Moong Dal - 1/4 cup
Chocolate syrup/Cocoa - 8 tbsp
Cooking Milk Chocolate - 1 bar
Sugar - 1/2 cup

Method
Pressure cook rice and moong dal till mushy.
Heat a pan, add butter, cooked rice/dal, chocolate syrup, milk chocolate, sugar and mix well till a semi solid consistency is reached.
Garnish with badam, walnuts and serve hot.

Im sending this to Reva's CWS Rice a brain child of Priya, Srivalli's Kid's Delight Party and though remotely relevant to Zesty Palette's Halloween Fiesta.

Bon Appetit!!
