Paruppu Thuvayal

This is again a real samaritan, when you are running out of vegetables or are bored of the usual lunch. I prefer paruppu thuvayal to thengai thuvayal. I like the flavours of the toor dal and gingelly oil in my food!!!!

Ingredients
Toor Dal - 1 cup
Red Chilli - 2
Pepper Corns - 6
Cumin - 1 tsp
Asafoetida - a pinch
Grated Coconut - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Oil - 2 tsp

Method
Heat oil, roast cumin, red chilli, pepper corn, asafoetida, toor dal and allow to cool.
Grind into a fine paste along with salt, coconut. Add little amounts of water when necessary.
Serve with rice, milagu kuzhambu.
