Proteinaceous Kachori

I have never been a healthy food person. Anything sinful is a definite yes for me. Now I had this event, I was attracted to - protein rich, fatty food and all I could think of was peas, lentils.

Ingredients
All Purpose Flour - 1 cup
Mung Bean - 1 tbsp
Kidney Bean - 1 tbsp
Moong Dal - 1 tbsp
Green Peas - 1 tbsp
Sweet Corn - 1 tbsp
Onion - 1/2
Cheese Slice - 4
Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for cooking

Method
Soak moong beans and kidney beans for 8 hours. Pressure cook till soft and mushy.
Heat oil, add cumin seeds, onions, ginger-garlic and saute. Add cooked moong bean, kidney bean, sweet peas, corn, red chilli powder, salt and mix well.
Cook for 5 minutes and turn off heat.
Knead all purpose flour and salt into a soft and smooth dough. Keep it aside for 20 minutes.
Make small balls of the dough and roll them flat like small chapathis. Place a spoonful of filling and a cheese slice and cover it like a ball.
Slightly press on the centre to flatten it and deep fry. Serve it with tamarind date chutney.

Im sending this to Radhika's Let's Cook Series #8 ~ Hibernative Foods

Bon Appetit!!
