Chakka Pradhaman

We got this pack full of cleaned jackfruit, and wondering what to do. They werent much sweet as we would have expected them to be, and this idea dawned on me to prepare this yummy payasam for neivedhyam. Its traditionally a kerala speciality!!!

Jack fruit pieces - 10
Jaggery - 1/2 cup
Milk - 1 cup

Grind jack fruit pieces into a fine paste. Heat jaggery with very little water and remove the impurities.
Boil milk, add jaggery and jack fruit paste and mix well.
Garnish with cardamom powder, ghee fried cashews and raisins.

Im sending this to Khushi's The Kerala Kitchen Event, for more details visit here. Also sending this to Denny's and Krithi's Serve It - Festival Potluck and to Gayathri's Only Sweets and Desserts event, a brain child of Pari

Bon Appetit!!

This is one interesting recipe.:-) Do we require a ripe jackfruit for this?Asking since here in Delhi we usually get the raw one with white flesh that we use for cooking.
Thank you in advance!
