Apple Malpua and Rabdi

Today is Mahalaya ammavasai and my MIL had prepared Sakkarai Pongal. I dint know and missed it!! So thought why not prepare something new to grace the occasion.

Ingredients
For the Malpua
Wheat Flour - 1 cup
Semolina - 2 tbsp
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Apple - 1/2
Milk - 1/2 cup
Curd - 2 tbsp
Ghee for frying
For the Rabdi
Milk - 1/2 ltr
Sugar - 2 tbsp
Apple - 1/2
Cardamom Powder - 1/2 tsp

Method
Rabdi
Boil milk, add sugar and keep stirring continuously till its reduced to half.
Peel and grind apples into a paste. Add it to milk, stir for 2 minutes and remove from heat. Set it aside.
Malpua
Grind apple into a fine paste and mix all the ingredients in a bowl, to prepare a smooth batter. Set it aside for an hour.
Heat ghee, pour a spoonful of batter and fry till golden brown on both sides.
Serve hot with rabdi.
