Plantain Fry

Plantain - 250 gms
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Urad Dal - 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
Sambar Powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for cooking

Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and once it splutters; add urad dal, asafoetida and chopped plantain. (Peel off the skin of the plantain, cut into two and chop into thin slices. Plantain tends to become dark on the outer once cut. So once you finish cutting keep them in a bowl filled with water)
Saute for a minute and add sambar powder, salt. Mix them well. Once the plantain is roasted, remove from heat.
Serve with rice and sambar.
